Here are the first images of Ranbir Kapoor's G63 AMG. This is probably the second or third G63 delivered in India. The Rs 1.5 crore beast combines power and luxury like no other car in the market.

There's nothing quite like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class sports-utility vehicle. How many vehicles can say they were designed at the request of the Shah of Iran, have served as the official transportation device for the Pope, are used as military vehicles by nearly every major country in the world and are sold brand new fully swathed in luxury from car dealerships in North America?
Only one that we can think of: the G-Class. The G has been around for more than 30 years, although only since 2002 has the G-Class been officially imported by Mercedes-Benz. Previously, North American importation was through Santa Fe, New Mexico-based grey market importer Europa International. Since 2002, the G has been available new from Mercedes-Benz dealers, despite brief hiatuses.

The G63 is the quickest model in the G-wagen’s 34-year history, a 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine powering all four wheels with 537bhp and 560lb ft peaks. It’s enough to hustle the slab-sided, 2550kg G63 to 62mph in 5.4sec on its way to a 130mph electronic limiter.

The production vehicle is similar to the Land Rover LRX concept, which was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in January 2008. The Evoque has been received positively by the automotive press for retaining the features, amenities, and off-road capabilities of a traditional Range Rover in a smaller package. Land Rover sold nearly 88,000 units of the Evoque in its first year of production.
